Nov 20, 2008 Extra thanks to Wankerweasel. Pours clear with a white head that faces quickly. Aromas of sweet corn, grain and mild hops. Flavor is similar with a nice crisp mildly fruity finish. A really decent lager that I could easily session.

Sep 12, 2008 Artwork on bottles is awesome. This is a solid lager. Nothing spectacular but can’t say anything bad about it. Easy drinking, clean tasting, mild hops. Perfect for the summer season.

Aug 31, 2008 Decent summer beer, and the variety of "lake maids" on the labels is certainly a plus! Purchased in Cross Lake, MN on a fishing trip. Light and refreshing enough to drink 3 or 4 at one setting.

Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. This is one of the best pale lagers I can recall. Nice sweetness to it with a nice hop balance. A little darker than usual. Very clean, very crisp. I could drink this regularly with no problem. Nice, light, refreshing on a hot day. Tasty.

Jun 30, 2008 Picked up a 12 of this for 12.99. Not cheap for a lager, certainly not for one that is marketed towards fisherman. That being said, for a macro lager, it doesnt get much better, Clean, crisp, nothing offensive. Really a great brew to have up North in the boat. For the record, Miss Smallmouth is by far the hottest of the lakemaids. Also, the little booklet that comes with it has some fairly humorous writings....

Jun 10, 2008 For what it’s worth I am a great fan of Schell Brewery, without too many great expectations I’ve been itching to try this one out.
So...
Here goes. The aroma is faint at best and has noes of mainly straw, and grassy hops.
The beer is attractive enough (yes this is the beer I speak of not the fish lady on the bottle) It is a clear golden color, but then head is fairly solid, and leaves a so-so lace.
The flavor took me a little by surprise, perhaps it is a bit tastier than I had expected. The flavor starts off a little fruity with some slight citrus and bananna notes, but finishes with a plesant hop bitterness.
This beer is no doubt light, and easy drinking, but I could absolutley see it being taken along on a fishing trip, In fact I may just have to do that soon.
