The aroma is lightly corny with a bit of very light flavour. Kind of bland and unappealing. Lightly grassy with a clean finish. Not a whole lot going on in here... I’d probably just throw this maid back. JPDIPSO (4926), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Straw color with a fairly quickly diminishing white head. Scents of grain, mild malt, corn syrup and a hint of floral hops. Heavier feel, as least by style. Grainy and corn flavors. Just seems heavy to me. Light sweet finish and linger. Perhaps if it had more malt flavor the heaviness would seem justified. bhensonb (4345), Woodland, California, USA

Rather bready aroma. Almost a honey note. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is pleasant, mildly bready, and a detectable amount of grassy hop. Finishes nice and clean. The hop increases with time. Put me on a lake with this, and I’d be happy. One of the better pale lagers I’ve had. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Bright medium gold colored body with a bright white head. The aroma was light bread crust with some hay and a little bit of sweet potato. The taste has some strong notes of raw bread dough, especially in the finish. There is also a little bit of raw potato. A hint of black pepper spice tells me that there is a hint of hops in this doughy mess. A let down for Schell, but certainly drinkable. Skyview (4063), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 16, 2008 Purchased at Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a clear golden straw brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of sweet light corn grits, crystal golden grain malt, some citrus zest and a touch of red beets. Taste is light bodied, slightly sweet with flavors of corn grits, flowery hop character with a touch of pear. Finish is semi-sweet, a slight pear and bread after taste that quickly disappears to a clean finish. Actually it’s not that bad for a semi-sweet light beer. I could easily share a few bottles while fishing and tell a few stories about how the "big one" got a away. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 22, 2008 You gotta love the shtick coming out of Schell... Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Yellow color with no head. Light grain aroma and some marshmallow. Sweet, clean grain flavor. Much like Grain Belt Premium. Simple and good. SledgeJr (2966), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 13, 2009 In the botle from HyVee CB. Pours pale yellow with a dense medium sized white head. This is a typically boring beer a la Twins Lager and Grain Belt, but this one has outstanding big boobed women on the label morphed into various hybrid-fish entities. Just like Frank Zappa sez: titties and beer make a good combo. JK (2961), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 25, 2008 Yellow color. Very light lager aroma with hair salon. Some salt in the flavor, in addition to corn. Drink this one ice cold. Not one of Schell’s better products. I agree with Ben, this is good shtick and campy. It does remind me of Premium, but not as drinkable or as good as that beer. Thanks to Skyview for sharing.
