The bottles are cool with the different lakemaids. The beer pours a dark gold. Very good lager taste. I could drink this stuff all day everyday if I had the opportunity. The caps are the best. They each have a species of fish and a weight for it underneath the cap. Nothing like getting drunk and fishing without having to leave the house. incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA

Not cheap for a lager, certainly not for one that is marketed towards fisherman. That being said, for a macro lager, it doesnt get much better, Clean, crisp, nothing offensive. Really a great brew to have up North in the boat. For the record, Miss Smallmouth is by far the hottest of the lakemaids. Also, the little booklet that comes with it has some fairly humorous writings.... laguerita (111), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Nice sweetness to it with a nice hop balance. A little darker than usual. Very clean, very crisp. I could drink this regularly with no problem. Nice, light, refreshing on a hot day. Tasty. badgerben (3603), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Yellow color with no head. Light grain aroma and some marshmallow. Sweet, clean grain flavor. Much like Grain Belt Premium. Simple and good. vikingguy (149), Chaska, Minnesota, USA

Nothing spectacular but can’t say anything bad about it. Easy drinking, clean tasting, mild hops. Perfect for the summer season. Skyview (4057), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 16, 2008 Purchased at Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a clear golden straw brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of sweet light corn grits, crystal golden grain malt, some citrus zest and a touch of red beets. Taste is light bodied, slightly sweet with flavors of corn grits, flowery hop character with a touch of pear. Finish is semi-sweet, a slight pear and bread after taste that quickly disappears to a clean finish. Actually it’s not that bad for a semi-sweet light beer. I could easily share a few bottles while fishing and tell a few stories about how the "big one" got a away. thickfreakness (130), AUSTIN, Texas, USA

Aromas of sweet corn, grain and mild hops. Flavor is similar with a nice crisp mildly fruity finish. A really decent lager that I could easily session.
