Commercial Description:
You can't deny the popularity of light beers today. You can create one that's more substantial and more flavorful than the competition.
Schell's Light is an American lager with a golden color, light body and a refreshingly crisp dry finish. Brewed with 85 percent malted barley, it has a much fuller flavor than other light beer.
Ingredients: 80% malt, 20% corn, domestic Cascade and Cluster hops.

Ah man! Do I have to rate a Diet Schell’s Lager? Fine... Pours a light, nearly clear yellow straw brew with a thin head that doesn’t even try. Speaking of trying, I tired to get a lacing but it just wasn’t there. Aroma is multi-grain (near beer-ish) breakfast corn flakes cereal with a touch of water. Sorry, this is just not the "Breakfast of Champion" type of brew one. Taste is light, crisp and watery. Palate is an attempt of bitterness but it just couldn’t fool me. At least the beer drinkers who still believe the beers of the 1970s are the best will be happy with this product.

Dare I say it... this "light" didn’t make me want to wretch my guts out. Pours a very light yellow with a small head. Very low-key aroma and taste with a little hops in there. In all, it’s a safe bet as it doesn’t offend, but it doesn’t really offer anything either.

This is the way i envision light beer's being made nice golden color small head quickly fading. The taste was mild with hops malt rice and what ever else a macro would put in but in this case i'd have to say they did a decent job of doing this one.Light feel and taste with a very mild after taste that makes this a highly drinkable brew for those hot days.I'm glad i have a few more for later.

Pours a light golden yellow. Aromas of minor hops, corn, grains. Flavor is light, crisp, watery with a little hop and a touch of bitterness in the finish.

Draft at Schell Bockfest ’08. Lager aroma with some spritzy aleness evident. Crystal clear yellow body with a lasting layer of head. Creamy body that tastes to a certain degree like it smells. Pretty good light with a decent amount of flavor. Not bad.

Had on 9/14/1999. Color is a pale gold with very good carbonation. Aroma reminds me of Coors. Body is light and finish is a little sweet.

Actually a non-rancid tasting light beer. Hops are detectable, malt flavor shows some corn, but not objectionable.

Draft sample. Pale blonde in colour with strong carbonation. Simplistic aromas of grainy pilsner malts and citrus scented dish soap. Pretty basic on the palate as well, with a bit of cereal grain, and faint lemon rind flavors. Very light bodied. No corn or chemical off flavors, but then again, not a whole lot of flavor in general to speak of. Not bad for a light beer, if that’s what floats your boat.
