Poured golden in color. Light malt and fruit aroma. Taste was quite sweet up front with some malt and citrus. Bitterness became apparent as it warmed.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a small, frothy head and aromas of apple juice, punky vegetation and sugary sweetness. Flavor is kind of a mess of sweetness and fruit with a bit of odd vegetation and metal. Still, it is better than the nose would have indicated... still, it could be much bett

12 oz bottle. Pours a light golden color with a nice big frothy white head that has great retention and excellent lacing. Aroma is sweet malt with a nice floral presence. Flavor is sweet maltiness with a touch of hop bitterness at the end. Very smooth and easy going down. It’s a touch fruity at times. Nice creamy mouthfeel that leaves a nice sweet flavor on the back of your tongue. Very tasty! This has become one of my favorites from Schell over that last couple of years.

I didnt do this beer any favors. Held onto it for over a year, refrigerated some of the time, but probably not most. Didnt even think about rating, but this actually followed up pretty well to an average German style beer, Left Hand Octoberfest. The beer seemed darker than the one in the picture and it had a nice malt base and some pleasant hops and it was pretty darn close to style, which is more than I would have thought looking at the ingredient list. I will try a fresh version, to be sure.

Amber with a medium white head, slowly fading and laces. Aroma of cereal, fruit, grain, German hops and toasted malt. Taste of fruit, nuts, caramel and toasted malt with a mild alcohol burn.

This beer pours a clear golden fluid with champagne-like bubbles rising up through the pint glass I used. The head which didn’t last too long was thick and frothy but eventually gave way to become a like film over the top of the beer. The somewhat weak aroma is mainly malty with hints of green grapes. The mouthfeel is quite creamy and very satisfying. The flavor is mostly sweet carmelly malts with only a touch of hop bitterness near the finish. There are also hints of fruitiness. Quite refreshing actually.
