12oz bottle. Poured a deep and hazy golden color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of fruits, yeast, and toasted malts. Tastes of apples, caramel, and toasted malts. Creamy yet thin body. Light alcohol in the finish.

Bottle: Aroma of apples, caramel, and light grassy hops. Pours a bright transparent orange with a minimal off-white head that quickly fades to a small ring. Flavor has lots of apple and moderate caramel up front. Finishes with some sweet lager yeastiness, light grapefruit, and light grassiness. Very thin on the palate with minimal carbonation.

Bottle. Pours out an off-amber colour with a quickly vanishing head. Scent is mostly of a city tap water and mild nutty notes. Taste is watered down with a nutty palate. Mild malt and a slight bitterness of hops lead into a nutty and dry finish. Very unexciting, watery and uncomplex.

Pours a light orange copper with a medium white head. Aroma is caramel with floral hops. A little watery on the palate. Light flavor, begins a little sweet and ends a little sour.

Pours a mostly clear dark golden bronze with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel and Munich malts with a touch of German lager yeast. Body starts with some sweet viscous maltiness and plenty of carbonation trapped within. Has notes of floral honey and earthy noble hops, but mostly dense and sticky sweet. Has a lightly bitter butterscotch finish. Fairly true to style but not all that drinkable.

Bottled. Poured a rather ugly medium golden with a head that dissapeared quite quickly. The nose was of sweet, lightly-toasted caramel with some floral hops. Flavor was very sweet, again with the toasted caramel, some toffee, herbal hops, and touches of alcohol. Smooth across the middle, but rather tacky and ugly around the edges. Sticky caramel and alcohol finish. Just OK.

12 oz bottle: A golden dopplebock? Well okay then.. high points for the aroma, which is wonderful and unique. The appearance well, look at the picture. Flavor of mildly caramelized malts and sweetness, not much bitterness going on-mainly aromatics from the hops. A strange sort of creamy flavor with a soda-like aftertaste.. or maybe my palate is unhappy today. Not the kind of dopplebock I would want in a frigid Minnesota winter...

Not sure how this is a doppelbock, clear amber to gold body. White head. Herbal aroma with only light hints of caramel. Flavor is sweet and sugary with little caramel and an odd mix of hops. Medium light body. Not what I exepcted based on the label.
