Courtesy jsquire. I was hoping like hell this was gonna be good, since I haven’t had a Maibock I’ve really liked since Smuttynose’s. Alas, this was rather thin and uninspired. The malt was lightly sweet but lacked thickness, intensity, or complexity of flavors. The finish was clean but thin.

Golden hue beer with a small head and not much carbonation in the glass. The aroma is honeyed and rose scented like a spring meadow. The taste is predominately hops centered and the malt sits behind a salty watery base. The palate is overly carbonated a too bubbly. I was disappointed in this beer.

Bottle thanks to MrBunn. Strong aroma of bananas. Like banana cream pie. Pours an ambery yellow without much head. Strong banana flavor, some graininess to it, and a bit of lemon and cool whip. smooth and creamy palate. It reminds me of an ultra sweet wheat beer. The sugar really comes out as it sits and becomes less enjoyable. Some Apple flavor is starting to come out towards the end, but it doesnt help.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. The Maifest I had was a blonde dopplebock. It was tasty, but there are better ones out there.

12 oz. bottle. Golden pour, tinges of red highlight. Thin, steady head of lager foam. Sweet, malty smell. Nice malty taste, just a little bit thick, with an underlying touch of honey. Just enough German hops to lend notes of black pepper. Impressions of a whiskey & water, plus a little bit of red apple.

Sample at the end of it’s tenure at the Freight House, Stillwater, MN. Poured a golden, fairly clear hue, with a white, modest head and lacing because of the plastic cup. The aroma was lightly bready, light fruit, citrus and spice. The flavor was also malt, spice and lightly dry into the finish. Clean and quaffable.

Pours a light, cloudy golden color with a medium white head. Aroma of light malt and citrus with some hops. Tastes rather sweet with hints of citrus, hops, malts, some caramel, apples, and light earthiness. Decent beer overall.

poured a goldish amber with a decent off white head. Sweet smell with a malty taste. Not too bad but not very impressive either.

Poured golden in color. Light malt and fruit aroma. Taste was quite sweet up front with some malt and citrus. Bitterness became apparent as it warmed.
