Very well balanced malt and hop character with a very nice crisp finish. Easy to drink, but has great body for a pilsner too. A pleasant surprise.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 12, 2009 12 oz. bottle shared at monthly Home Brew Club. pours a thin off white head, of poor duration, over a pale yellow (SRM 3) slightly hazy body....nose is light cereal, bit of light toffee, slightly sharp hop spice.....taste is light malts to start, ending in a mild bitter hop finish.....mouth feel is light, as is carbonation. This does not have enough character, either in the malts or the hops. I wonder if the bottle was too old. Alopex (34), Crystal, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 25, 2009 I’ve had a sorted history with this beer, but I’ve got to say I quite like it at the end of the day. The beer pours a golden color with a small head that retains with the best of them; the beer has a good lace and lots of bubbles!
The aroma is kind of faint but nice enough with some fresh hay and fresh bread with some light fruity hops. The flavor is hoppy and bitter in a herbal way, there is a defined saltiness and quite a bit of bitterness with some mild bready maltiness.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Bottle, poured up with a rich, white creamy head. Brilliant light gold color. Hop bitterness is very crisp and true to style. I found a very metallic aroma that was a bit distracting. Other than that, the malt, hop balance was right on and this one was good. hero12 (61), USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Pours a light golden color w/ white head. Aroma of sweet fruity malt, corn, floral hops. Pleasantly surprised at first taste. Nice body, good dry hop bite, clean aftertaste, minimal sweetness...aroma smells sweeter than the taste. I think this is a great representation of the style...it’s a very basic pilsener, but it’s done right. To sum up: clean, dry, refreshing, enjoyable.
