Drank this with fellow taster oldrtybastrd from this site. This was a brown with a roasted smell and some carmel.

(bottle, brewed in Scheyern) pours a dark ruby colour with a creamy off-white head. aroma of roasted malts, grassy herbal hops, caramel, light dark fruit and sweet spices. flavour of grainy roasted pale malts with light notes of dark bread, chocolate and coffee. sweet, heavy body with strong carbonation and a roasted-bitter, warming finish.

The bottle looks good, but a bit simple for a doppelbock. The beer in the glass is zippy, but no foam. Tastes malty, but not too much, a bit roasty. A bit sweet like chocolate, the finish is drier. Not bad!

Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a nice dark brown. Aroma of malt, nuts, hops. Tastes malty, with some hops and roasty hints.
