Nice color of light brown with a faint head. Amber caramel notes, with a slight sweet fruity finish. Great Job... MaxPower (961), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Bready and caramel aromas, starts sweet and creamy with a hint of caramel, medium bodied, nice full and round mouthfeel, finishes smooth and clean with a lingering sweetness, not bad.

No cloud or haze. Nice size head on tap, with a fluffy and off-white tint to it. Dissipated slowly and left a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Tons of malt smells. Sweet and grainy/breadlike. Some warmer caramel malt smells and a good amount of citrusy hops. A lighter body and a very smooth finish before instantly drying out. Nice and sharp citrus flavors with a real thin tasting orange/lemon zest. Pretty bitter and earthy. In my opinion, the big malt background is really balanced well with the abundance of citrus hops. I really, really like this beer and the freshness of it on tap is outstanding. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2007 Clear reddish copper appearance, stiff off-white head with good retentive powers, slowly dissipated into thin lacing, light amount of ringed sticking.
Smoky grains, toasted caramel malts and herbal hops are very prevalent in the aroma. A subtle orange and lemon fruitiness in the background.
Velvety, but firm moderate body, a touch of herbal oily slickness in the palate. Toasted grains and sweet caramelized malts along with a slight touch of smoke. Orange and lemon fruitiness emerges in the middle, adding a sweet and sour effect in the taste. The earthy leafiness and herbal hop spiciness helped to give this a great dry finish.
This was quite pleasant on a cool night in the River City, robust enough to chase away any chills. On-tap at the Taproom.
