| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 29, 2005 Very pale straw, with a foamy white cap that hangs around for awhile. Lightly spicy herbal/dill hops, a bit of malt sweetness. Vague grainy malt character, some small hop presense. Flavors sort of meander off into a muddy, slightly metalic finish. Light, thin, but not actually watery. This is okay. But when there are so many other things Schlafly does so much better, I hate to see them wasting their time on this. Slightly better versions of pale lagers do not convert the masses... Drew (2409), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 21, 2005 This must be the one they brew for the Bud drinkers. Sweet sugary light and thin, but it did have an interesting bite at the end - that little bit of hop to wake you up. wxman (587), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 12, 2005 Been drinking this stuff off and on for better than a year and am just now getting around to rating. Golden color with the slightest hazyness. Fairly dense but small white head. Sweet grainyness in the Aroma. Schlafly did say they would add some corn to this brew to be faithful to style. Hops, sweet pale malt and corn in the taste. Not my preferred combo of flavors but well balanced. Little aftertaste other than the bitterness of the hops. However, for the style, an excellent representation. csbosox (1081), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2005 Been sitting in the fridge for a while and I’ve finally gotten around to sampling some more Schlafly. Above average for a pale lager. Smooth and drinkable for hot weather especially. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2005 bottle-pours golden yellow with a nice sudsy white head with some retention. big hoppy, spicy and light german funky yeast quality in the aroma. flavors of pale malts saaz hops, and a good yeast quality. reminds me alot of Sierra Blanca pils. This beer is dry and very true to style. sufficient carbonation, but not overbearing. lightly metallic finish. I think this lager is very good and pretty under-rated if you ask me. I will drink this again definately. Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Sep 9, 2005 Sampled from bottle. Pours a pale, yellow-gold with a sudsy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is mild and unoffensive. The flavor is grainy and corn is definitely in the grist. Just on the bitter side of balanced. Light-bodied, moderately carbonated and refreshing. When I drink this classic American pils, I keep thinking that perhaps Schlafly was sending a message to their cross-town rival: here’s how you make an American pilsner. Great for the style, but just not my style.
