Commercial Description:
This lager, brewed with the addition of corn, is light in color and body, in the original American Pilsner style. Unlike most mass-produced light lagers, it’s still full of flavor and aroma.

Pale gold with no head. Not much aroma to speak of. Flavor is smooth and malty sweet. Perfect carbonation feel. An impressive pale lager.

Crisp lager aroma with sweet citrus notes and fruit. Slightly hazy gold with lots of visible carbonation. White head that is mostly diminishing. Some lace. Very good for a lager and I see now it is in the 99th percentile for its style. Well deserved, although I think it is still underrated. Relatively sweet with some marked bitterness. Perfectly balanced. Excellent for the style.

Solid golden color with a white head. The aroma is mild. Slight hops and somewhat grainy. Taste is as expected. Good crisp flavor. I suppose they nailed the style, I just can’t get excited about a beer that boasts of corn being added to thin it out. It’s certainly better than its competition in this style, but all in all, I think they could have left at least some of the corn out.

It’s definitely an American Lager, with all of the limitations of the genre. They make a nice one, but it is a bit thin and needs a little more umph to push it above mediocrity.

Sampled at the brewery. Not a fan of American Lagers in general, but this one is not bad. Smooth and tasty.

Light straw colored and clear with a thin creamy head. Sweet, mildly hoppy aroma. Clean in flavor with medium body and a slightly bitter finish. Quite delicate for the style. Really pretty good.

Beer on tap: I live in St. Louis and drank this lovely beer in a small hole-in-the-wall bar at the St. Louis City Museum. Light in color and smooth taste. Soft lingering taste, and the aroma was a outstanding corn scent. If your rating it by a pilsner its one of the best.
