Bottle. Pours a light gold with descent off-white head. Good lacing. Nose of fresh piney hops. Palate was a great balance of the intense hop flavor and the malt backbone of the ale. I detected some grapefruit notes as well giving the beer a little extra layer of taste complexity. A great APA that I will definitely be buying some more of.

Bottle. Strong American PNW hops, exotic with mangos, peach, and pine. A little too much dust and cardboard, though. Strong carbonation in the amber-golden body, and a lacing, thick soapy off-white head. Taste is thickly hoppy, dank and musty and delicious! Not as bitter I’d like, but with a great moist, drenched hoppy taste. Lots of citrus. Medium body occasionally edges upward, the body is roundedly malty with caramel and a good balance. Silky smooth and refreshing. Ending is dry and hoppy but not bitter or resinous. Finally, a big winner from this brewer – and a very quaffable session, at that!

So, I’m in St. Louis for the weekend. Surely I can’t find anything to satisfy my SoCal beer snobbery, right? Wrongo...this is great stuff. Perhaps the perfect hoppy session beer. Great cloudy light color, good head, and amazing hop presence. Slightly thin in the mouthfeel, but that’s to be expected given the ABV.

12 oz bottle pours a straw color with a half inch white head. Aroma is of hops. Flavor is of what seem to be fresh hops lots of pine and citrus both on the tongue and in the nose. Medium bodied and easy to drink.

Bottle (12oz). Via trade with Acknud. Cloudy light amber pour, large fluffy white head with nice lacing. Very pleasant citrus and resin hop aroma, solid "red" malt backbone, a bit of lemon zest (7+). The taste follows, I can really taste the green hops, nice acidity and a light alcohol burn too. Average body, mild acidic mouthfeel and mild carbonation, a sweet and lightly lemony aftertaste. This is a solid palate cleanser, I’d be happy to have this any time.

Bottle courtesy of drmatt (thanks!). Bottled with love on 12/28/07. Pours golden with decent amount of white head. Well, they weren’t kidding about the dry-hopping, big piney aroma with some honey thrown in there as well. The hoppiness wasn’t all there in the taste however. Still, slightly bitter with more pine and some breadiness. A bit light on the palate and has a clean, bitter finish.
