Poured an orange amber; with slightly creamy off white head. Aroma was nice with caramel, grapefruit, and floral elements. Some lacing. Enjoyed it very much; especially for the style. Bitterness was mild and palate was good; making it easy drinking. Flavor was fairly balanced, with caramel, toffee, citrus and floral components.

On tap at Schlafly Tap Room. Poured a lightly-hazy medium caramelly-golden with a short cap of white head. Aroma was of very sweet caramel and pine with plenty of spicy citrus.. bit of toffee in there too.. good stuff! Flavor was very hoppy with pine, citrus, and some floral providing the bulk of it.. sweet, well-placed caramel backing provided sufficient support.. left a long, sweet, caramel and pine finish. Very nice balance and transitions from the bitter first impression to the sweet creamy middle to the long bitter finish.

Another brew from MrPhoenix. This one is a step above the PA. Solid looker. Smell has way more kick to it. Nice hop aroma. Taste has a nice bitter hop kick to the finish. Solid flavor all around.

A dark orange apperance. The aroma is filled with citrus with a hint of vanilla also. The flavor is slight bitter with some sweet notes as well. Plenty of oranges and grapefruits showing through in this one. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated. Overall this is a simple but good APA.

a well crafted pale ale the blows their flagship pale out of the water! Sampled on tap at Bottleworks in Maplewood. light orange, Maybe just a bit thin for my liking, but the balance is near perfect if not a little on the weak side. would be a good session beer.

When I moved to Missouri, I didn’t give this beer a second look. But I’ve now tried it, and I have to say: not bad. Not my favorite IPA (or APA), but not bad either. Ok hops. Decent balance. This good be a go-to-beer if nothing else is available. It’s a hell of a lot better than Boulevard.

Appearance: Pours a light, light orange-amber body with a wispy, off-white head. Smell: Faint grainy aroma with some citrus and a bit of mustiness. Taste: Very weak malt flavor propped up against the taste of grapefruit. A lingering bitterness and an inordinate amount of husk astringency on the already acidic finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Light carbonation. Drinkability: Certainly not a standout whatsoever in this very well represented style. It’s time I come to grips with the fact that I need something truly exciting beerwise.
