A little over-carbonated and lacking the flavor punch, but definately enjoyable. A decent beer and worth a try...may be a segway to the hop. NobleSquirrel (1120), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Draft at Bottleworks. Pours a nice golden color with a fluffy head. Lively carbonation, though not prickly. Nose is fresh hops, I get a sense that this may have used some of the Simcoes that made it into the underwhelming harvest ale. Aside from that, I sense there’s also some form of C-hop, or at the least an off shoot. Taste is a fresh bitterness and a touch of cattyness with a nice citric note and chunky malts to hold it up. Pretty tasty daily drinker. Aubrey (2778), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Golden-orange with a big cakey head. Medium body, lightish carbonation. Malts were mildly sweet, like cake without much sugar. Hops seemed kind of one-dimensional. Citric-tannic bitterness. Being dry hopped and all, I was a bit disappointed with the hop aromas. Unbalanced and underwhelming. codewritinfool (3), Chesterfield, Missouri, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Bottle. Slightly hazy orange, thick white head that reduced by half-glass point to a really thin head. Nice lacing. Aroma is big, grapefruit and a bit of grass. Initial taste is grapefruit, apple, decays to sweet grapefruit. Big mouthfeel, sweet malt. Carbonation a bit on the sharp side. A nice beer. jujubeast6000 (795), Houston, Texas, USA

Pours a very clear light brown body, with a big creamy white head that is very lasting. Dark grapey aroma, dusty, malty. Fruity taste, some sweet maltiness, a little nutty. Dark grape taste. Soft mouthfeel. Some hoppiness, but mostly a malty taste. Butters (1651), Virginia, USA

Floral hop with a touch of grassy hop nose. flavor is better than their pale ale. Flavor has a little grapefruit hop as well. A little bitterness in the finish. Not bad. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Bottle from Dave. Thanks! Pours orange with a small white head. Nose is dry and hoppy, rather juicy. Flavor has lots of citrus--orange and grapefruit, but little character or depth. Fresh but just okay.
