Sampled at the Schlafly "Repeal Of Prohibition" beer festival, includes maple syrup from Strawberry Hill Farms in Skowhegan, Maine. I was surprised at how much I liked this, not sickly sweet or sugary, toasted caramel with a light fruitiness, and in the end the maple syrup kicks in, a nice fresh maple that doesn’t overwhelm the malts, medium bodied, a pleasant sipper on a cold spring Saturday afternoon.

At bottleworks as "Maplewood Ale": Pours a light amber, very thin head and light carbonation. Aroma is sweet and bready, some honey-like quality in there. Flavor is warm and semi-sweet, malts lend typical flavor for this brewery. A hint of maple syrup in there, but it’s dry. Not nearly as sweet as one would expect.

tap-hop in the city 05-pours light amber with a small white head. carmel, maple? sweetness on the aroma. no hop flavors, just a sweet malty beer. fairly full body for the style with medium carbonation. lihgtly toasted grains on the finish but mostly surupy sweetness. not bad. i guess this fits the amber ale category, but it could be a spice/herb/veg beer too.

Sweet biscuity aroma. Nice golden amber with small white head and extensive lacing. Flavor is sweet malt - like a cookie (I didn’t know when I took my notes that there was maple syrup in the beer). Finishes with a floral hops/yeasty flavor like a Belgian ale. Very nice-I had to have two.
