I was surprised at how much I liked this, not sickly sweet or sugary, toasted caramel with a light fruitiness, and in the end the maple syrup kicks in, a nice fresh maple that doesn’t overwhelm the malts, medium bodied, a pleasant sipper on a cold spring Saturday afternoon.

Aroma is sweet and bready, some honey-like quality in there. Flavor is warm and semi-sweet, malts lend typical flavor for this brewery. A hint of maple syrup in there, but it’s dry. Not nearly as sweet as one would expect. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

Flavor is sweet malt - like a cookie (I didn’t know when I took my notes that there was maple syrup in the beer). Finishes with a floral hops/yeasty flavor like a Belgian ale. Very nice-I had to have two.
