The aroma is mostly toffee and honey with just a touch of acetaldehyde. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is of mash and honey with a bit too much acetaldehyde for my overly sensitive system. Sweet, green apple, drying finish. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The body was light pale gold with a white head that stuck well to the sides of the glass. The taste was meaty and full with some some earthy mushrooms. The aroma was sweet bread and apples. This hit me just right. An excellent beer. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 20, 2003 This rating was from the Hop In The City event where brews from the previous year were sampled (5 oz) by the attendees from kegs. This brew poured a medium head of fine to large sized mostly lasting white bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body. THe aroma was ,atl;y and fruity while the mouthfeel was smooth and slightly biting. The malt hop flavor was somewhat acidic. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 21, 2002 Hazy yellow straw color.Dense and sticky foam. Aroma is of oranges, Cascades, hay, and grapefruit. High carbonation tingles my mouth with grapefruity hops dominating throughout before a moderate malt presence. I notice, not one, Dort characteristic. Far too hoppy and way off the mark. Nonetheless I drank the entire glass. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Poured clear light amber with a good sized head that offered excellent lacing. The aroma has lightly toasted malt and comes across very lager-ish (as it should). Medium / light body with some subdued sharp carbonation. The taste has grainy malt that is lightly toasted, crusty sourdough and a hint of nuttiness. The finish is a bit spicy and refreshing. A nice example of the style. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2005 Updated: May 16, 2005Lightly sweet malty aroma with some flowery hop perfume and lingering notes of honey. Clear, pale golden color with a slight, fine head and spidery wisps of lace. Flavor is very nicely balanced throughout, with pale malt sweetness and crackery notes contributed by the malts meeting the herbal, lightly flowery, peppery hops which yield a moderate amount of bitterness. Some spicy, green hop notes late. Palate is refreshing and lightly effervescent, body is light-medium. Actually quite enjoyable and easy to drink. I’m afraid I’m unconcerned about its adherence to style or lack thereof. This is a fine spring-summer choice. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
