The body was light pale gold with a white head that stuck well to the sides of the glass. The taste was meaty and full with some some earthy mushrooms. The aroma was sweet bread and apples. This hit me just right. An excellent beer. SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA

Lovely floral hop aroma, perfectly balanced lots of body and just enough hops in the finish. tjthresh (1770), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

It was a straw/golden color. It had a sticky with head, and some visable carbonation. A nice herbal hop aroma, and some grainyness. Fuller bodied than I would have expected. Medium carbonation. I would love to see this one on the shelves in KC. MaxPower (961), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2005 Updated: May 16, 2005Lightly sweet malty aroma with some flowery hop perfume and lingering notes of honey. Clear, pale golden color with a slight, fine head and spidery wisps of lace. Flavor is very nicely balanced throughout, with pale malt sweetness and crackery notes contributed by the malts meeting the herbal, lightly flowery, peppery hops which yield a moderate amount of bitterness. Some spicy, green hop notes late. Palate is refreshing and lightly effervescent, body is light-medium. Actually quite enjoyable and easy to drink. I’m afraid I’m unconcerned about its adherence to style or lack thereof. This is a fine spring-summer choice. skoisirius (574), Seattle, Washington, USA

Lovely medium body with a very well balanced malt/hop combination. Very true to style. Glad the bartendar recommended it! vyvvy (2043), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Poured clear light amber with a good sized head that offered excellent lacing. The aroma has lightly toasted malt and comes across very lager-ish (as it should). Medium / light body with some subdued sharp carbonation. The taste has grainy malt that is lightly toasted, crusty sourdough and a hint of nuttiness. The finish is a bit spicy and refreshing. A nice example of the style.
