daknole (514), Plantation, Florida, USA Jul 2, 2008 Bottle, thanks strykzone. And boy a big thanks. This is an underrated brew. An awesome amber pour with a nice big white head. A great floral aroma hits you with some green pepper and malty sniffs as well. The flavor doesnt bite you with hops but you can taste them with delicacy. The malt is sweet and the carbonation is nice. A really good beer. Pastor (228), Maine, USA Jun 20, 2008 Thanks to Goliath for this one
Bottle poured a good finger worth of head that lasted; it just slides down the glass as you drink the brew. The amber orange body color looks awesome in my pint glass
Aromas citrus hops and bread yeast not much malts in the mix, light if any
This brew taste great I say it is the best APA I have tried just the right amount of malt sweetness and hop bitters to make it extremely well balanced I wish I had a pizza to go along with this one. Medium body great carbonation as well
Highly drinkable APA this brew is a must try in my book. Very enjoyable glad I started of with this one today
ilherps (38), USA Jun 18, 2008 Comes out of the bottle a coppery orange with two fingers of thin white foam. Nice lasting lacing on the glass, and strong citrus aromas. As the name implies, a very strong dry hop flavor with a hint of orange zest on the finish. Walt (2255), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 18, 2008 Pour is orangey amber with a big off white head....smellis strongly citric...taste is lightly sweet up front, with a nice citric bitterness coming through in the end....a simple beer, but well done. GAManiac (200), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 15, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy light golden amber with a small fizzy head that dissipated to nothing quickly leaving no lacing. Smell is dominated by the resiny pine hops and citrus with a definite bready malt aroma in the background. The taste follows the aroma with the same pine needle hoppy flavor with a bit of citrus in there as well. The malt background is again evident and balances out the hops nicely. The mouthfeel is medium and slightly sticky with very little carbonation leaving the resin aftertaste to linger. This is a very drinkable APA as the dry-hopping is not over-the-top.
