Very nice aroma: strong, yet subtle hops. Hazy deep gold, almost amber color. Good carbonation. Good lace. Head disappates almost fully. Very robust hoppy flavor. Bittering hops very evident. This one rivals 3 Floyds' Alpha King and falls only just short. I would drink this any day.

on tap at brewery: Much like the pale, only much hoppier with a nice dry finish. Better than their standard pale ale. Bottled: Pours a good golden amber, with a decnt foamy head on top. Aroma is citrusy, sweet malts, and a bit of pepper. Flavor is tangy and zesty. First comes the hoppy bitterness, then the citrus, then malts, and lastly, a dry grassy finish. Does everything a good APA does, and then some 2007: Dry hopping takes this beer over-the-top, massive hop aroma, pine needles and warm cereal nose, big hop flavor, with an excellent balance of malts following. Sweet, but the hops balance it exteremely well. This could very well be my all-time favorite session beer, as it is an incredible example of exactly how hops can balance malty sweetness perfectly. Fantastic.

Thanks to Bob, Michelle, and mostly my baby Jana for the 12th annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival today! On tap @ the fest. Very fresh nose of pine & citrus. The brew is amber clover honey. The nice cascade meanders into a fully lasting tall stiff off-white creamy head. The exceptional flavor has a huge citrus presence. Great balance and depth, not unlike the Alpha King! The medium body is lively and dry. The finish feels astringent. One of the highlights of the festival!

Solid copper with rocky and sticky head. Light cascade-like aroma. Full-on hop flourish, citric and tart. Ultra-sweet but grassy finish.
