NobleSquirrel (1094), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 4, 2009 Draft at Bottleworks. We were told it was made with Plums. Pours a nice gold with a hint of red. Nose is juicy and acidic, don’t recognize the plum, but it’s also a touch sugary in the nose as well. Taste is much the same, quite tart, though sweet at the same time. I get the obvious apple notes, crisp. There is also a touch of tanic quality from the skins. I believe the plum may have upped the acid on this one. Overally, pretty tasty stuff, though I’d prefer it to finish dry. madscotsman (147), Fairview Heights, Illinois, USA Sep 23, 2007 Nice golden color with a small white head. Nice apple aroma. Had an apple juice type quality with a nice tart and bitter finish vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Sep 16, 2007 This was a nice enjoyable cider. Poured golden with a white head. The aroma had green and red apples, but leaned more to the green side. Very apple peel-like traits. Medium body that is refreshing along with minor sharp carbonation. The flavor is very crisp, yet has some pulpy traits. The apple characteristics are on the fresh apple side. A well crafted cider I will have to have again. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Sep 16, 2006 Pour is a clear golden with no head. Aroma is apples of course. Flavor is apple juice with some bitterness and nice dry finish. Not A real fan of ciders but this is a decent attempt. sneagrams3 (1704), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Jan 22, 2006 Draft at the Bottleworks. Clear with a pink grapefruit hue. Slight white head. Sweet apples and cinnamon in the nose, with a slight oatmeal note. Lively and sugary sweet. Almost cranberry-ish from the tartness. Perfumy and citrus, tart and bitter, yet nice. Not entirely cloying. kwoeltje (1313), Manchester, Missouri, USA Sep 17, 2005 (Hop in the City) Apple juice gold. Nice apple aroma. Flavor is very sweet apple. Nice cider, although ciders in general are too sweet for my taste. Could be dangerous-you don’t notice the alcohol at all.
