This brew poured a very small head of fine to large sized white bubbles that quickly disappeared. It left behind a transparent orange brown colored body. The aroma was that of mild caramel malt and if it was stronger would probably have gotten a nice rating. The mouthfeel was smooth and the flavor was anothe typical mild malt hop one. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2002 Nice typical Vienna style deep red clear coloration. Slight head, no carbonation visible, but lively mouthfeel regardless. Some malty sweetness in the aroma. Interesting palate, halfway inbetween sweet & hoppy. Bites you in the cheeks! Finish is both sweet & hoppy as well. This is most surely an American interpretation, but it’s interesting. TAR (2095), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 8, 2002 Aroma is toasted grains. Some interesting flavors going on here, especially for a lager; very hoppy, toasted malt, and very crisp. Palate is spritzy and very clean. Hop burp to boot. This was sheer drinking bliss. Reminded me of Snake River Vienna.
