Jun 9, 2002 Maltier than I expected sweet taste balanced with alot of hops. I’m not sure if this is a light Oktoberfest style, very malty.I love this beer.

Mar 30, 2003 Well ambered with an excellent head. Understated caramel with light hopping and a pleasant sweetness. Very good.

Apr 8, 2002 Aroma is toasted grains. Some interesting flavors going on here, especially for a lager; very hoppy, toasted malt, and very crisp. Palate is spritzy and very clean. Hop burp to boot. This was sheer drinking bliss. Reminded me of Snake River Vienna.

May 4, 2006 a pleasant experience all around. an attractive lady with me for lunch at the brewpub after a long road trip and this nice little beer in front of me. poured a light copper with a decent head. fruity nose, with a flavor that was a bit of the same plus a nice floral hop character. really went well with the meal.

Mar 29, 2008 Aroma is slightly hoppy, sweet malty.
Pours a dark honey brown color with nice lacing.
Taste is slightly sweet, malty, very small touch of hops.
Very solid for the style.

Oct 11, 2003 hazy light golden, thin head. aroma is slightly roasty with some hops. flavor has some roast especially the aftertaste. detected an aroma of extinguished cigarette butts.

Apr 19, 2008 Pours light copper with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet caramel that is very clean with good toast and hazelnut traits. The body is clean, crisp and light with sharp carbonation. The taste is spot on with the aroma along with some spice showing up on the finish. This is quite good for the style.
