| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2008 Textbook doppelbock nose, slightly musty(in a good way) and malty, with hints of caramel and coffee. Flavor is rich, but mild with nutty hints of toffee and dark fruits. This is very good, balanced and the alcohol is well masked and not overly sweet. NJJereme (272), Saint Petersburg, Florida, USA
