Commercial Description:
Doppelbock Dunkel has a pleasant full and creamy body, with coffeeish aroma. Nicely warming with toffeelike malty sweetness, balanced by a hoppy-bitterness in the finish.

330 mL bottle. This beer is ruby-amber with a moderate beige head (receded, but didn’t disappear.) The aroma is quite malty, with suggestions of caramel, brown sugar, and dried dark fruit. The taste is quite sweet, and also contains the hint of dried fruit, and malt. The alcohol is well hidden, and there is very little bitterness. Medium body.

Bottle. dark brown color. malt and raisin in the aroma. Malty sweet, medium bodied beer with raisin, some roasted malt and even porto. Almost fluid bread, this beer. Alcohol is partly hidden by the massiveness.

Another spot-on choice of John, from Smokeless Joe’s. Brown with soapy head. Chocolate malt with mollasess, lots of lace dots. Smooth and creamy, good dunkel. Expirey in 08. Chocolate news.

Bottle. Sour molasses malt aroma. Dark brown with large head. Sweet-dry cherry and black coffee flavor with moderate hops finish. Nice but different for the style - has some belgian ale characteristics.

Deep dark color with a small frothy white head. Outstanding aroma, lots of sweet malt and rich berry/fig fruit. Nice malty taste, rather sweet, a bit thin. Not a terribly strong flavor. Finishes fairly bitter with lots of fig and a bit of chalkiness. Overall quite nice, nothing outstanding though.
