Sep 17, 2007 Bottled. A deep red beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of brown sugar, nuts, caramel, and a slight burnt note. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel, malt, alcohol, and licorice, as well as slight notes of dusty hops and metal, leading to a sweet dry finish, where the alcohol tingles the tongue and cheeks slightly. The body seem a bit thin especially taking the 8.5% ABV into account.

May 13, 2009 Bottle, 8.5%. Lagery aroma, pepper, hint of sweet malt. Clear dark brown colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is quite malty and quite sweet. There is some burning alcohol feel and bitter alcohol flavour. Tastes stronger than it is. The finish is actually quite rough.
