Golden color with quickly vanishing off-white head. Malty, buttery, industrial aroma. Good malty body with sticky alcohol which fits to bock nicely. Soft mouthfeel rounded with honey sweetness. Enjoyable warming bock, except aroma which is more like in pale lager. sayravai (3784), Helsinki, Finland

Mild, sweet-malty aroma with honey hints. Richly malty, sweetish toffee-buttery flavor with alcohol and honey hints. Medium to full-bodied, smooth and warming, slicky-sweet, low-carbonated palate. A nice, smooth and warming bock. Nothing more - nothing less. ante (2969), Stockholm, Sweden

Apparently people don’t appreciate what it takes to brew a beer of this magnitude, judging by the low scores it has received. It is right exactly on the money, style wise. Poured out a bright, pale yellow color, with a frothy, sticky white head. Aromas are of fresh Pils malts, with some DMS from those malts. Slight, background earthy hops, but aromas are very subdued. Some aromas of Vienna malts as well. Thick mouthfeel, but actually a thin beer. Malty to a fault, followed by strong hop bitterness. Rich, earthy, and superb overall. You should really try to appreciate it for what it is. A world class Maibock. pilsnerrogge (1794), Finspång, Sweden

Sweet-ish malty flavour, slightly thin and metallic. The alcohol tickles the tongue. bark (255), Linköping, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2005 Bottle. The colour is clear yellow; the white head is compact and three fingers thick.
The smell is a bit weak and there are fine notes of some malt and dry bitter hops.
The carbonation is OK for a lager with fresh small bubbled. However, it is rather short.
The first taste is one of sweet malt, some body and some bitterness in the background. It develops into a vanilla-like soft flavour with some alcohol and a growing clean bitterness. The aftertaste is sweet and warming with notes of white bread and a long lasting (rather anonymous) bitterness.
This is a good representative of this style with the alcohol well hidden behind the strong malty flavour. larsniclas (3391), Gothenburg, Sweden

Golden with a large, white head.
Sweet, malty nose with some metallic notes.
A bit too much alco-feel to be in my taste, but rather fresh with fine maltiness.
