Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are malt, caramel and wood. Some notes of whisky, but not as distinct as the old one.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with medium creamy off-white mostly lasting head. Malty aroma. Sweet flavor. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Amber-yellow colour. Moderatel malty and light hoppy aroma. Strong caramellic notes. Not smoked at all. Moderate bitter very caramellic flavor. Average finish. Watery palate.

Bottle. Clear dark golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of malts, bread and caramel. Where did the smoke go?

Bottle. Thanks Nnudd. Golden amber body with a medium off white head. Light smokey aroma with malt and caramel notes. Flavour was sweet malty and light smokey. Light bodied. Bit watery.

Bottle. Pours copper with off-white head. The aroma is a touch skunky at first, but it fades; then the aroma is sweet caramelized malt with a toasty smokiness to it. The nose isn’t a meaty smoke like, say, Schlenkerla, but more of a smoldering deal. The flavor is pretty metallic with a focus on toasted malt and caramel. The actual smoke is quite tame, and reminds me more of a smoldering grass fire than the robust smokiness I want. Drinkable, but very disappointing.

Clear copper-orange with a thin white foam. Aroma is caramel, light woody smoke, but watery. Taste is metallic, still water, again light smoke and toasted caramel.

Pours golden with a thin white head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor is sweet, light hints of wood, bitter finish.
