Easy, thin smoked but a well-balanced beer. A little bit watery, I prefer more alcohol taste like old version...but it’s better than Adelscott beer from Heineken group. gam (1116), brisbane, Australia

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Bottle. Clear deep golden with a medium white head. Aroma has light smokiness, malt and a bit of caramel. Slightly unpleasant sweet flavor with some honey and some very lightly smoked malt and vegetal notes. Light to medium-bodied. Not so good and not a very smoked "Smoked". TheGrandMaster (1870), Auckland, New Zealand
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Bottle (in NZ). Pours a crstal clear amber with a thin white head. A neutral malt in both the aroma and flavour. Slight notes of smoke and whisky sweetness in the finish - but that’s very slight. Easy drinking, though a little thin. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 24, 2009 Smoked? Dunno. More like a Vienna or amber to my tastes. Rusty amber in colour with zero head retention. Nose shows subtle (weak?) caramel and malt character, and definitely no smoke. Palate is fairly run-of-the-mill with slightly clunky and slightly heavy malt treatment that falls away very quickly in the back palate. A little spicey peat to finish and I’m trying hard to find that! MiP (9146), Sønderborg, Denmark

Very small white head. The flavour is also caramelly. Once again, no smoke. Slightly sweet, but OK balanced. Medium bitterness.
