Nice nose, grassy, malty, and sweet, bit of creaminess and maybe some butterscotch. Initial impression in the taste is a watery character, with the pretty head one would expect a bit more heft to it. Flavor is quite malty and bready, hops are rather grassy. With a better palate, could be exceptional. hopscotch (5510), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 8, 2004 Crystal clear, yellow lager with a medium-sized, fluffy, white head. Good retention; excellent lacework.
The nose is of butterscotch and straw. Well-balanced flavor with notes of clover and lemon peel. Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Short, clean finish. Kinz (2213), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Flavors of grain, grass, touch of lemon, balancing hop bitterness present. Glad to be able to try this sytle finally. argo0 (6969), Washington DC, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 12, 2004 Pours a slightly hazed blond with a medium white head. Nose is European hops and malt. Seemingly standard for a European beer of this type. The taste is very pilsnener-ish. There is definite malt and hops but a hint of yeast as well. Some citrus in there, I think, also. Smooth but not overwhelming. Worth trying. jeffc666 (1895), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 12, 2004 Mostly clear light yellow body topped by a massive foamy white head. Lacing is quite nice. Aroma is light hops with a bit of yeast and malt lurking in the back. Flavor is lightly hoppy up front, then a little more hops develop, finally ending with a small bit of bready malt and slight hop bitterness. The aftertaste is very lagerish but not overwhelming. Overall not bad but a tad on the bland side. Geiserich (1790), Vienna, Austria
