Jun 25, 2008 Lightly sweet aroma, pours with a slight golden orange with minimal tan.head I liked the first taste a lot but the 3 and 4th sip tasted more spicy to me in the after taste. Still the body was smooth with an alcohol finish.

Jun 19, 2008 Didn’t really find this one all that special. A nice find though while shopping for beer at Booze Bros in Reno, NV, along with a few other Schoss Eggenberg beers. The beer starts out with a very nice medium orange/gold color with a 2-finger thick white cap. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, a touch grainy, with a subtle fruit angle (thinking apples). Flavor is sweet, alcohol, and malty. I just didn’t dig this beer all that much. The mouthfeel reminded me a bit of warm melted ice cream...sorta thick and clingy. Meh...

Jun 16, 2008 (Austria) Courtesy of The _Capt, thanks mark. Pours a nice caramel color with a foamy white head. The aroma is of banana and toffee, with a sweet caramel taste !! And the finish was warm and yummy. This was very enjoyable for me, i will try this one again.

Jun 16, 2008 Bottle shared with the Knights after German club beer Fest, nice night! Poured a liquor like caramel amber, rich and cream like with small foam head. Light sweet aroma of dark roast fruits. Smooth and mellow on the pallet nice rich mix. Really liked this Doppelbock and calling it the Cognac of beers is a pretty good description.

Jun 14, 2008 Updated: Dec 23, 2008Bottle shared with the Devonshire boys. Pours an orange-amber with some fluffy head. A beer of this gravity with a head is quite a feat. Smells sweet and caramely. Tastes sweet and smooth with a caramel touch. Slightly boozy finish.
