Pours a clear golden color with a small white head that disappears very quickly. Aroma is that of caramel, peaches, and sweet malts. Flavor is extremely sweet, fruity, and spicy with notable alcoholic warmth. Like drinking a strong spicy peach flavored syrup with an alcoholic bite. Flavor sticks around for a long time in your mouth. Almost no bitterness. Full-bodied syrupy consistency that coats the mouth. A complex brew, but way too sweet for my taste.

Beautiful golden color with fine head. Sweet flavor but too strong and very alcoholic.

Poured from a bottle a beautiful clear golden yellow color with very little white head that disappeared in a few seconds. It has a very strong and appetizing aroma of malty candy, fruit, citrus and a bit vegetables. Flavor is very rich with great texture. Tastes deliciously sweet and nutty. Finish endures for a while with a nice light nutty aftertaste. Drinking it warms you up but the alcohol is hidden well for me anyway, a truly delicious treat.

Bottle (Utobeer): Slightly hazy golden with a short white head. Sweet, malty caramel dominates. Can ba bit cloying. Alcohol burn in the finish. Drinkable, but only just.

The aroma has caramel malt, light fruits, and alcohol. The appearance is light amber - gold with a small head. The flavor is strong and sweet with lots of alcohol and cane sugar. I think there is a little oak in there too. The finish is slightly malty with much warming. The alcohol taste is just to overwhelming to make this an enjoyable beer to have without a meal. I know that it does fit the style but I wish they could at least hide the alcohol a little since it’s 9.6% not 19.6%. I now know why it’s called the cognac of beers.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with healthy carbonation and a lacing, but modest, creamy eggshell head. Sweet, very malty aroma with caramel, honey, and a hint of alcohol. There’s mild fruitiness, too, grape and peach and apple. Body is extremely full, alcoholic, syrupy, thick thick thick. Warming reconciliation after an intitially crisp attack. Definite kick to the teeth. Flavor is of very sweet caramel with tons of malt. Rich and complex. Aftertaste is long and luxurious. Slight terminal bitterness, dry end...strange considering this was approaching cloying. Definitely a sipper. Like wrapping yourself in a big warm blanket of alcohol.

Bottle, bought in Austria. An overrated beer. Stong smell and taste of alcohol. Not the malty strength or hoppy floweriness to carry the alcohol. Nasty bitter finish.
