Dec 31, 2005 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev & jerc -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear flat gold with almost no head. Sweet sugary and woodsy aroma. Flavour of white wine, wood and yeast. Full bodied and syrupy. I found this just O.K.

Dec 26, 2005 Medium golden color with a small white head, potent aroma of caramel, toffee, and roasted malt. Tasted of a good whiskey, without that burning alcohol sensation. I expected less flavor with the color, but it turned out to be a damn good beer.

Amber colour. Sweetish-sourish nose and with clear alcohol notes. Loads of malty, mouthcoating almonds in the flavour.

Dec 19, 2005 Bottled. Poured much lighter than anticipated... a light amber with a short cap of beige head and a lot of sediment floating around in there. Nose picked up vinous notes, dark fruit, oak, and hydrogen peroxide... sweet and malty overall, but had odd some odd aspects to it. Rather light mouthfeel with pears and grapes initially. Alcohol and floral hoppage show up at the back of the mouth and finish. Molasses and caramel provide a solid base. Alcohol was a little too pervasive at the finish, but was held in check by pears and floral hops. Decent.

Dec 19, 2005 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, tupalev & jerc - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Goddamn, this brewery has the ugliest labels! Good thing the beer is half-decent. Clear gold colour with a small head. Aroma is strong, sweet malt and woody alcohol. Flavour is somewhat earthy, with some dry white wine notes, and a quick hit of hops in the finish. Gets a bit sweeter as it warms. Not bad.

Dec 16, 2005 Bottle. Golden yellow, very small whit ehead. Sweet alcoholic aroma, some malt. Hot alcohol and sweet malt dominated the flavour as well, some sugars. Maybe it was just late in the evening, but this did very little for me.
