The aroma is of sweet plums. The flavor is very sweet and the mouthfeel is thick. There is a pronounced alcohol burn that actually makes you think that you are drinking something with far more than the 9.6% alcohol contained. Overall a tasty sipping beer, but the alcohol burn is really too pronounced. It has not held up well in my esteem, as I recall thinking much higher of it in the past.
