Roasted malt, dark dried fruit, with sublte chocoffee and alcohol in the aroma. Flavor and palate decriptions are accurate: toffee malt with just enough hop-bitter finish; surprisingly easy to drink. Roasty aftertaste. Excellent brew. RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 16, 2005 Bottle. Sweet, sugary honey-like aroma with some roastiness present. Very sweet aroma. No booze detected in the nose. There is also a slight yeasty funkiness. Mildly hazy garnet mahogany color with a small light tan head. Sweet, roasty, chocolatey flavors persist. A peat-like earthiness is also blended in as well in the middle. Rich, roasted molasses-like finish late. More roasts in the end. Very nice beer. Alcohol is hidden. Much better than their 23. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
