Bottled:
Pours clear brown with a dense head. Malty, somewhat roasty aroma with notes of vegetables. Flavour is malt, cocoa and toffee. Grassy, somewhat metallic bitterness. Simple but well balanced.

Dec 7, 2009 0.33 L bottle from Systembolaget. Clear, pale chestnut colored. Stable and dense, mediumsized offwhite head. Medium intensive, nutty, light bready malt aroma. Fairly dry except for a sweet-scented note of caramel. Taste is moderatly malty, lightly toasted with bread notes and faint caramel. Some tinned dark fruits and mild, earthy hops in the background. Body is light plus. Not watey, but a bit diluted mouthfeel. Finishes on the drier side, quite crisp actually.

Nov 20, 2009 Dark brown. Solid. Much like a Bayer lager. Malty and bitter but no excesses. Flavor of rye bread, baked apples and nuts. Enjoyable.

Nov 19, 2009 Very consisent beer. Nose had chalky earthy grains with a sweet malt whisp......and the palate was the exact same thing. Sugar cookies on the finish and a bit to coaty on the palate.

Nov 12, 2009 Bottle. Poured a dark reddish brown with a small white head, A very malty beer with some muted coffee flavour. An easy drinking German Alt that overall didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
