lb4lb (1388), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 3, 2008 Bottle shared by mmm///beer. Thanks Dennis!
Pours a dark amber brown with a small head. Smell is really nice. Nutty, chocolatey rich malt. Taste is dull maltiness with hints of chocolate and earthy, nutty flavors. Light bitterness follows. A bit thin bodied, but a nice flavor, and even nicer nose, and solid drinkability. Pretty good amber. Thanks again for sharing this one! mmm///beer (546), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 19, 2008 (Sampled 7-5-08) On tap at the brewery-murky dark amber/brown in appearance, razor thin head stayed around for a little bit, aroma of a shortly roasted malt with notes of yeast and hops. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is very enjoyable, some sweetness and bitterness at the same time which is very unique and pleasureable, finish is very inviting for another sip. Listed as a Cali Common on the bottle, but it’s still good whatever you decide what style it is. MMbeer (1), belmont, Michigan, USA does not count Jan 4, 2008 good drinking beer can drink and not get tired of the taste needs a little more kick with the aroma but the average beer drinker can drink this beer Tmoney99 (3548), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 7, 2007 Draft sampler at Schmohz. Poured a brown color with a moderate fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration duration. Getting better brew. Al_K_Hall (161), West Hartford, Connecticut, USA Sep 17, 2006 Initially very bitter, but it grows on you. It has a reddish - brown appearance, light brown head with nice lacing. The flavor is very hoppy -- almost an IPA. the floral notes linger long in the aftertaste. And - the woman in the picture is HOT.
