Bottle. Pours a dark copper color with a dense head and lots of garbage floating on top. Flavor is very weak for an IIPA... a bit of caramel and apple, wine or brandy. Flavor has much of the same stuff going on... lots of boozey medicinal alcohol, odd fruits and very little hops presence. yuck...

Dark reddish brown beer with quarter inch tan head. Smells of molasses and raisin. Odd and almost sickly sweet. Floral finish, Smooth but not at all what I was expecting. I thought it would be more hops forward. It seems a bit more malty for me. Kind of one dimensional. Definitely has alcohol though.

Bottle. Pours a dark tarnished penny color with a dense head and lots of junk swimming around on the carbonation. Flavor is very weak for an IIPA... a bit of caramel and apple, wine or wine grapes and a little brandy. Flavor has much of the same stuff going on... lots of booze (almost like rubbing alcohol at times), odd fruits and very little hops presence. Hmm...

Pretty dark brown as 2IPAs go. Aroma of caramel and hops. Flavor is pretty malty, this flirts with being a barleywine, a pretty thin barleywine. Not bad, all in all, not something I’d seek out again, though.

Alot of hops, burning sensation from all the alcohol. Great label. Better on draft than bottle, best beer they make.

A beer about boobs. Ok, I can support that. Hmm, Hazy reddish pour, caramelly, hop aroma. Flavor has a lot of butter, newspaper, cat litter. Disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe this one.

Draft at Hop Cat, Grand Rapids, MI. Some alcohol taste, with malt sweetness. Enough hops to make it a DIPA.

Bonus beer shared by Dave at the Sam Adams Beer Lover’s choice tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 7/30/09. Cloudy brown pour with a thin off-white head. Caramel malt aroma with some booze and the slightest bit of hop. Smells more like a bock or a b-wine than an IIPA. Caramel malt flavor with a dry hop finish.
