dunkel kupferfarben, unschaumig
Sweet malt aroma that is spicy and estery (bubblegum) and with sherry and nutty notes. Clear red-brown with a thin, off-white blanket. Sweet, darkish malt flavour that is sherry-like and with some nuts, balanced with a good bitterness. Some oxidized coffee notes as well. Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderately bitter finish. cgreb (173), Marburg, Germany Mar 26, 2009 bottle - (asheft) amber brown beer with beige head. Malty alcoholic aroma. Flavour has sweet maltiness and alcohol. kappldav123 (1788), Markkleeberg, Germany Jan 12, 2009 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild, modest malty, high ABV is well hidden. The finish is hoppy and dry, maltiness in the background. Very drinkable for a doppelbock. Not bad! fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Bottle @ home. [Batch 2417] Clear medium red brown color with huge, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate. Raisin malt and astringent alcohol flavor. Not bad - a bit on the rough side. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 29, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Pours a clear, orangey brown with a dense, lacing off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and some alcohol. Quite a full and very solid body with a shipload of roasted malt. Quite a bitter finish with a distinct alcohol burn. 191207 Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Dec 26, 2007 Bottle. Amber colour with a nice head. Aroma of malt and caramel.
