Quite a bitter finish with a distinct alcohol burn. 191207 Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

[Another great tasting session @ Papsoe] Large beige thick and creamy head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Clear body with a light brown color. Toasted malt, grain, brad, hint of fruit. Over the palate moderated notes of bread and almost roasted malt. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and an alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavor. Sweet toasted malty finish. Not as bread like as would normally be expected of a doppelbock. 6 / 3 / 7 / 3 / 12 ekstedt (2446), Göteborg, Sweden

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2007 Dark bronze with no carbonation. Sweet but never overpoweringly so. Not as much body as you would expect from a beer of this strength so it is quite dangerous. A very pleasant Dopplebock. joss (3685), Garching b. München, Germany
