| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Very pale golden color has a thin, wispy white head. Aroma of floral Saaz hops with some light adjuncts. Body starts thin and fizzy with some light pale maltiness. Finishes thin airy without much flavor. A pretty bland pilsener. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

4/24/2007: Very pale yellow in color with a large, dense white head that slowly receeds and leaves some spotty lacing. The beer appears to be quite bubbly - almost like champagne. the aroma is lightly malty with a fair amount of noble hops (spicy and grassy flavors). There isn’t very much malt in the flavor. There is more hop flavor than that of the Odenwalder Golden Lager, but not quite enough for a Pils (in my opinion). The hop bitterness is mild to moderate. The body of this beer is light, but still smooth. It is also crisp and refreshing. Overall, this is beer is okay, but it doesn’t quite have enough "Pils" flavor for me. This beer is more like a light Pils (if there were such a thing!). It just seems too light for a Pils. I preferred the Odenwalder Golden Lager just a bit more than this one...

The aroma is sweet malty, while the flavor is sweet malty with a boring hop character. Nothing wrong - just a bit boring. gws57 (1151), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Found this labelled "Odenwalder Meister Pils" at an Aldi in Batavia, Illinois. Golden yellow pour with a lacy white head. Sweet aroma of clover honey and grass. Not particularly hoppy, this was a bit sweeter than most pilseners. thegreenrooster (1852), St.louis, Missouri, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 5, 2007 Labled Odenwalder purchased from Aldi. Poured in a pilsener glass. Big fluffy head and lots of bubbles. Fair lacing down the glass. Not much of an aroma. Thinnish for a pils as far as malt complexity. I detected a little bit of sourness. The hops are noticable, but that’s all. Typical to German pils it has grassy hop notes. It was interesting to try it, but I won’t be buying it again.
