This is a nice Pils ! More in keeping with the crisper finished Northern style than Bavarian, it is extremely nice on tap if you are in the area between Frankfurt and Heidleburg! Don't know if it is available here in the states anymore?

It pours a typical clear straw yellow with a fairly thick and not too persistent white head. Aroma is malty and a little yeasty, fairly strong and better than that of most pilsners I have sampled. Flavor is crisp, malty, mouth-filling, just a tiny bit fruity, quite satisfying. Texture is lively, fizzy and pleasing.

Purchased at my local Aldi in a Odenwalder variety 12 pack for $10.99

Aroma: Fain hint of sulfur. Low malt flavor. Slight aroma of graham cracker. Low noble German hop aroma.

Apperance: Pale straw color. Med low tight fine white head with Med head retention

Flavor: Low malt flavor, followed by med hop flavor and med. high hop bitterness Dry hop finish.

Palate: Light body. Smooth mouthfee. Med carbonation

Overall: Clean, hoppy, dry Pils in the German style. Good value for the Beer Money!

Bright golden colour, huge head. Floral, hoppy aroma. Malty flavour, quite sweet, pleasant. The finish is obviously hoppy, even if not as bitter as other German Pilsener. Nice pilsener.

Had this beer on 6/11/2006. Aroma is a light malt scent. Color is a bright gold with good carbonation and nice tight head. Taste is crisp and fresh. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a fizzy crisp feel. Finish is light and fresh with a mild malt taste backed by an easy bitterness and faint hop flavor. Its one of the better Pilsner and Imports I’ve had.

From a twelve ounce bottle marked "Oldenwalder Meister Pilsner" - This one pours a golden liquid with a tall white head and a decidedly malty aroma. Tastewise, it’s an alright pilsner, but nothing to scream about!

Draught at The Rover, Gothenburg, Sweden. Golden, with a huge head. A fresh and hoppy aroma. A cereal maltiness with reasonable bitterness.
