Rustyham (545), miami, Florida, USA Oct 4, 2009 gross, bread crust flavor. sweet corn smell. really active bubbles. not good, but cheap. Bottle at whole foods. Kindl (6), Germany does not count Dec 26, 2008 Smooth, malty body. little bit sweet, with some, aromatic fine hops at finish. very nice. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Dec 21, 2008 Labeled Premium Export Lager. The aroma is sweet with a floral and grass type hop. The malt is grainy. The appearance is pale gold with a small head that falls fast. The flavor is bitter in a medicinal and astringent way. There is also a significant sweetness of cereal grains. The palate is thin. Overall it fits the style OK but the flavor is unpleasant and finishes soapy. With a name like Schmuckers it doesnt have to be good. kappldav123 (1789), Markkleeberg, Germany Dec 9, 2008 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild, modest hoppy, a bit spicy. Finish still mild, a bit prickly. Drinkable, but nothing really special. daknole (2802), Plantation, Florida, USA Apr 1, 2008 Bottle from local Publix. I assume this is the same beer I had. Aroma is malty and beer has a pretty sweet taste. Malt overflows the tongue. A bit too sweet for a lager. But not too bad either. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA Mar 10, 2008 pours golden with a nice white head. the aroma is musty and malty. the flavoe is reminicent of sweet corn and somehow reminded me of budweiser. the palate is watery, and a bit bubbly. not sure why i like this one.... Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Jan 17, 2008 Label says Premium Export Lager; I assume this is the same beer. Pours 24k color with lovely lacing and lasting head. Aroma is basmati rice, white pepper, and coriander. No wait--that was from the food being cooked from the kitchen. Aromas subside into oblivion later. Where did they go? Tastes bland and watery. Palate is not just thin and overcarbonated but totally lacking in the softness that might have redeemed it.
How does a beer that looks so good become so vacuous when you put it to your lips? It starts out with plucky innocence and frothy blond promise before spiraling down your gullet and leaving an insipid trailer park taste behind. So it must be Brittany Spears Beer.
