| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Jan 17, 2008 Label says Premium Export Lager; I assume this is the same beer. Pours 24k color with lovely lacing and lasting head. Aroma is basmati rice, white pepper, and coriander. No wait--that was from the food being cooked from the kitchen. Aromas subside into oblivion later. Where did they go? Tastes bland and watery. Palate is not just thin and overcarbonated but totally lacking in the softness that might have redeemed it.
How does a beer that looks so good become so vacuous when you put it to your lips? It starts out with plucky innocence and frothy blond promise before spiraling down your gullet and leaving an insipid trailer park taste behind. So it must be Brittany Spears Beer. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 18, 2007 Had this beer on 6/17/2006. Aroma is a faint malt scent. Color is bright gold with good carbonation and thin head. Taste is crisp and malty. Starting with a light/medium body that goes down with a crisp fresh feel. Finish comes in with a mild malt taste and a light bitterness, then end with a smooth feel. Its a nice, light fresh, well balanced brew. LordCorkscrew (963), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy
