Bottle. Pale golden colour with a small white head. Sweet malty, light hoppy aroma and a sweet malty, light straw taste. Medium body with a light sweet finish.

From a twelve ounce bottle marked "Odenwalder Golden Lager" - This one pours a golden liquid with a tall white head and a decidedly malty aroma. Tastewise, it’s an alright lager, but nothing to scream about!

This bottle brew marked best before 07 07 06 from Indianapolis poured a large sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent yellow orange colored softly carbonated body. The aroma was malty hoppy and had a orange peel not to it. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish with a crisp clean slightly astringent aftertaste.

I loved the aroma on this beer! It made me yearn for some pretzels and sauerbraten. The head was frothy, though there wasn’t much lacing. Tasted to me sort of bittersweet with a little bit of a sour aftertaste. Chose this over a couple of other Schmuckers in the beverage store.

Nice gold color, fluffy white head quickly dissipated with no lace. Aromas of malt, straw, citrus, alcohol and yeast. Flavors were malt, corn, sweet fruit (apples & pears), a little herbs and grapefruit from the hops, somehow the flavors didn’t blend all that well. A little thin in the mouth. Dortmunder/Helles my ass. You know-it-alls and your "I’ll decide what style it is" attitudes give this one too much credit. Sometimes a lager is just a lager. As a D/H, this sucks, as a plain ole’ lager, it’s okay.

Excellent fruity aroma with only a slight hint of malt. Big thick head with some longevity. Rather light with very little bitterness. This is sold as Odenwalder Golden Lager at Aldi Stores

Bottle. Best by 070706. White medium sized head that mostly diminished, poor lacing, transparent, carbonated, and a golden hue. Aroma was malty, hoppy and crisp. Swee, malty, hoppy flavor. Light-medium body.

(bottle) Clear golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Sweet, slightly papery malty nose with herbal hops in the background. Light bodied sweet malty initial taste, fizzy carbonated, light bitter herbal hoppy finish with a tinge of cardboard. One-dimensional, fairly decent Export.
