Not repulsive, actually drinkable just nothing I would ever think about again. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden

Pours a dark, nutty brown with a big white head that quickly dissipates to a creamy trace. Big malty aroma, some weedy quality to it. Palate is thin and crisp, not adding much to the flavor. Some odd vegetal, raw grass flavor on the finish. What started out hopeful turned unpleasant. larsniclas (3386), Gothenburg, Sweden

Dark brown with a huge, off-white head.
A pungent and grassy/vegetable aroma.
Thin and dry with notes of toffee. DYCSoccer17 (2192), Davis, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 3, 2004 Found some bottles in Syracuse, NY. Aroma is of celery, malts, and christmas tree. Interesting aroma. Pours a transparent mahogany with a small light tan head. Start is smokey, malts in the middle. Finish is kinda watery and hints of metallic. Certainly not a great offering. The finish is really a turnoff. rickgordon (3300), Göteborg, Sweden

Almost black in colour. Aroma of roasted barley. Dry mouthfeel with a touch of dust. Reminiscent of Bernard 13 in its dry, malty character. Lubiere (4529), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 22, 2004 Nice copper brown in colour with a faint head which collapses quickly. Non descript malt aroma. Slightly nutty caramalized malt with very discreet hops. Im not seeing any coffee here, unless we are talking about the Dunkin Donuts/ truck stop sink water available in less fashionable quarters of North America. Body is reasonable. Disapointting compared to the lager. Britales (56), Cape Charles, Virginia, USA
