| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Pours a thick cloudy orange with quite a bit of yeast sediment, fluffy white head. Somewhat sweet, hoppy nose, some tropical fruit and yeast. Really meaty banana flavor, interesting and robust. Overly sweet banana actually. Not a ton of spice to round it out. I regret pouring all the yeast in. Don’t knwo what to make of this one -- it tastes good, but it’s odd for the style I want to put it in. MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 8, 2009 This beer began with a vigorous, fluffy white head on top of a VERY cloudy body of medium gold colour. The aroma was most enjoyable, even to my imperfect nose, with grassy and hoppy scents. Taste was delicious; it tasted like "more", and the mouthfeel had a damned good bite to it. Good finish, too. Excellent beer. elihapa (1066), Honolulu, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 8, 2009 On tap, Wurstkuche. Pour is murky orange haze, with a below-average head size (for a wheat beer). Aroma, however, is sublime: fresh floral “west coast” hops, with a hint of lemon-lime zest and herbs. All anchored firmly by wheat and yeast notes. Flavor starts with an assertive hop bite suggesting tangerine, balanced in the middle by textured wheat and other grain. Finish puts a crisp and refreshing bitter touch on the traditional mildness of a hefeweizen. Palate is an interesting sensation of smooth fullness matched with effervescence, which acts to lighten it. All in all, this was an absolutely delicious hybrid drink, easily better than the previous Brooklyn-Schneider, and an unquestioned success. Sigmund (2293), Hafrsfjord, Norway
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2009 On tap at The Rover, Göteborg, as Schneider & Brooklyn Hopfen Weisse. ABV was 8.2%. Deep golden to amber colour, hazy. Moderate creamy head. Hoppy sweetish aroma with notes of ripe berries. The flavour is sweet, hoppy and alcoholic - too sweet and alcoholic for me. Less bitter than expected. pilsnerrogge (1786), Finspång, Sweden
