Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

Pours a hazy, pale golden color with, in my experience, little to no head. Spicy, yeasty aroma with a bitter, fruity bite to the taste. Hops and a subtle, sour banana note in the background. Ths would pair well with food, I suspect.

Poured from 500ml Bottle into Weizen glass. Pours a creamy pale orange with glowing edges. It has a frothy pure white head that lasts the entire time you are drinking this beer. Aroma is heavy with spices, earthy hops, some banana and yeast. Flavor is light sweet and toasted malts, white pepper spice, light hopiness and ends with a fluffy bitterness. Its medium bodied beer with plenty of carbonation. I like the amount of spices that the flavor has and it ends up semi-dry. Very good beer.

CBF 2009. A very hopped weizen. Dark yellow and murky. White head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is coriander and hops, moderate malty, heavy yeasty. Flavor starts moderate sweet and bitter, finish heavy bitter. Dry texture. Lively carbonation.

now this was an exciting find. aroma: 8.5 an incredibly lively blend of grapefruit, lemon, spicy hops, goseberry, raspberry. appearane: 4 gold-to-amber-to-orange bright sunrise mix. slightly cloudy, small head, residue. someone described it as ’a lava lamp’..I couldn’t put it better. Flavour 7.5 spritzy hops, yeasty, peppercorn and coriander give to a slight bitter tang Palate 3.5

Immediate nose of bright Hallertauer hop spice (green peppercorn and a little sage). Earthy with some tropical fruit and round, polished wheat malt. Finishes soft with a yeasty cream and lingering hop spice. As complex as a wheat beer can get, and deftly balanced at that. This version seem to be a little less aggresive in the bitterness department over past or fresh vintages.

Flaske: Flot stort skum på en uklar mørkeorange øl. Ikke megen karbonering men en kraftig lækker duft af humle. God kombination af hvede og humle og en meget drikbar øl. Godt samarbejde.

Bottle. Pours OJ-yellow with a huge frothy white head and swirling, oozing clouds of sediment- like a lava lamp at first. Hoppy orange, spicy yeast, banana, and honey in the nose. Similar taste, but with some wheat and a little warming alcohol. Nice smooth mouthfeel, finishes malty orange.

Aroma of burnt citrus greets the nose from the beginning of its dark, cloudy pour. The tangy, sour character suggests grapefruit, mango, pineapple, lemon, and vanilla with a crisp hoppy finish.
