Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

"damn that filthy mexican banana!" ... pours with a medium airy white foamy head .. has a dark amber body with swirls of sand in the desert .. some yeats and honey in the nose, very wheaty too .. has a pretty big bitterness profile, and is very clean in the mouth, i like it .. why is this version $5 and the brooklyn version is $17 ??? ..boner ... great lacing too ... the abv seems perfect ... an imperial hefe, if you will ...

bottle, thanks to bu11zeye. Murky dark gold with a huge off white head. Nice hoppy, spicy aromas with tart wheat. Light body with a frothy mouthfeel. Good yeasty, spicy citrusy flavors with bready pale and tart wheat malts. Really enjoyed this one.

500 ml. Fizzy orange-golden with a lasting half-inch of creamy meringue. Aroma is clean, spicy clove, pineapple, wheat with lemon zest, evergreen resin and slight banana. Flavor is earth-spiced pineapple, orange-banana, and wheat with a large, hop-resin and citrus finish. Sugary frosting on the glass. Light-medium body is acidic, mostly smooth, and hop-dry on the finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold, very thick and substantial off-white head. Aroma is wheat with touches of fruit and herbs. Flavor is again wheat and fruit, a little malt, no banana notes to speak of, which I was expecting. Dry and a little bitter on the finish.

500ml bottle at Toronado in SF. Nicely done collabo between two legit breweries. Pours a golden color with substantial white head. Aroma of floral hops, wheat, and sweet malts. Flavor is complex: sweet malt, wheatiness, banana, pineapple, coriander, clove, and a bitter hoppy finish. Great balance.

Appearance: Murky gold, almost pea soup green. Very cloudy with a 1 inch white head. Aroma: Banana, clove, and latex. Taste: Clove, coriandor, spicy/bitter hops, pineapple and banana. Mouthfeel: Thick and full bodied. Overall: This brew tastes better than it smells. I like the tropical notes in the taste, it helps balance out that yeasty clove business going on. I can tell this is well crafted, but not my cup of.....beer.

Mild banana esters join with lemon citrus character and some tart wheat in the nose. Opaque tan body is topped by a fizzy white, large bubbled head that reduces rapidly to a lasting cover with slight lace. Strong banana esters in the flavour which is quite sweet up front before the tart wheat comes out along with fairly strong bitterness. Mild iodine-like flavour appears in the aftertaste as it warms. Very crisp carbonation to the refreshing medium light body. Mild warming. Feels a bit subdued for a weizen bock. Weizen glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle. Brewery Creek. Aug-08.

Bottle shared by CapFlu. Lightly foggy amber, thick white head. Aroma is light alcohol, wheat, banana, yeast, tinge of a caramel sweetness. Taste is a light wheat, banana, yeast, light alcohol, toffee like sweetness on the back end.
