Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

Bottle Pours out a hazy gold topped with a tall cream head. Aroma was great clove, spice, and light hops. Tast more of the hops and spice. Nice and thick. I have had a few and they are GREAT. I will have to save a few for later in the year.

Another winner from Schneider and Sohn. A hoppy beer with a grassy pineapple kick. Amazing aroma one of the best smelling beers I have ever tried. Huge fizzy/frothy head. I have never poured a beer that I could hear the fizziness like in a diet Coke. Muddy clarity with medium to large particle floating. Beautiful medium amber appearance. Moderately astringent on the finish. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it is not too overpowering. The flavor was a little too astringent for my taste. Still a great beer even if over priced.

This smells pretty good. A little bit of hops. The flavor has a good bite. It doesn’t seem too wheaty. A good beer that doesn’t seem strong. Nice.

Bottle@Home, thanks DerDoppelbock. Lemon, banana and wheat aroma. Murky, yellow/orange color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, very bitter, tangerine, banana, grassy. Warming. Very flavourful, very different.

Bottle from South Bay Drugs. Pours a cloudy deep golden color with a fizzy white head. A ton of yeast sediment in the beer as well. Nose was very fruity with pineapple, citrus and some farmhouse funk. Flavor was very fruity and yeasty with the finish being light/ medium in body.

Bottle: Dirty blonde color with many particles. Large white/yellow head and decent lacing. Nose is wheaty, floral, and a little earthy. Tastes right on par with the aroma and adds a little bit of spiciness. Some lingering bitters and perhaps just a bit soapy even. Nice hoppy presence overall. Thanks Jordan.

Bottle: Cloudy muddy orange/brown, thick white head and a firm sheet of lacing. The nose is fresh and herbal with tons of yummy ammoniaish minty hallertau. The flavor is sweet and intense with a distinct dusty hop note. Good. Interesting experiment with the high gravity and dry hopping on the hefe. I like!

Bottle from Der Doppelbock, thanks! Blonde with a touch of orange. Orange, banana and grapefruity hops in the aroma. Sharp oily citric grapefruity hopbitter flavor with banana notes, lingering on in the aftertaste. A surprisingly good combination, this American hopped hefeweizen.
